How does the lighted end/head of the NogginStik work?
The lighted end/head of your NogginStik can be activated by gently tapping or shaking the NogginStik – it should not be dropped or banged with force. The light will turn on and the colors (red, green, or blue) can be changed by gently tapping or shaking the NogginStik. The light will stay on for approximately one minute.
How do I care for my NogginStik?
Do not immerse the NogginStik in water or put it in a dishwasher – this may permanently damage it. Be aware that the NogginStik is a battery-operated learning tool which can become damaged if thrown or dropped with force. To clean the NogginStik, simply use a clean damp cloth (just a little clean water and mild soap if necessary) and wipe clean.
How do I change the batteries?
The batteries are easy to replace. The NogginStik includes three 1.5V LR44/AG13 button cell batteries and the replacement batteries should be the same type. To replace the batteries, open the battery compartment on the back of the NogginStik’s head using a small Phillips screwdriver (make sure the small screws and washers are not accessible to infants and small children when removed). Insert the new batteries, making sure the positive and negative polarities match the illustration inside the battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment cover using the screws and washers provided, and make sure both screws are tightened securely. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
